Vial Purchase Guide
Vials purchased from homebrewers typically have to be paid for using cryptocurrency (usually Bitcoin). This guide exists to help you through the process.
Buying Cryptocurrency
Below is a step-by-step text guide. If you prefer video, play_arrow you may watch this, though be careful to purchase BTC instead of USDT.
Choosing a platform
General recommendations are Binance (very popular and safe, and users in the server vouch for it), ByBit, and KuCoin.
This guide will be using Binance and Bitcoin as an example.
Purchasing crypto
-
Once you have the app installed, you must do a KYC (Know Your Customer) verification. This cannot be bypassed. You can easily do it using the ID of someone who is 18 or above.
-
Once KYC is complete, you need to find the P2P option (on Binance, click Add Funds -> P2P).
-
On the P2P (Peer-to-Peer) page, find a seller with good reviews rating (maybe over 96%), who has done more than 800 trades, and low Dollar to PKR rate. They are often trusted and exchange in a few seconds to minutes.
-
Click “Buy” and enter the amount of crypto you wish to purchase. Choose to purchase BTC (Bitcoin), not USDT (stable coin).
Purchasing the vial
Now that crypto has been purchased, go to the homebrewer’s site (AstroVials used as an example) to purchase your vial. Create an account, enter your shipping address, add a vial to the cart, and check out. Once you check out, you will be redirected to a third party app to transfer your crypto to the seller:
-
In this third party app, you’ll be given a QR code and a BTC wallet address. Copy the wallet address, go to your crypto wallet app (Binance in this example), click Assets, and click ‘Send’. Use “On-Chain Withdraw” mode to send your crypto.
-
On this page, select BTC (assuming that was your cryptocurrency) to send. In the next page, paste the wallet address you were given from the third party app into the address field. Use the network you were told to use at the website, you may lose your money otherwise! Send €85 worth of crypto in the amount field and click ‘Withdraw’.
-
Wait 5-40 minutes for the transfer to complete as they are validated in blocks on the blockchain network.
-
The site should show the transaction as completed after a few valoidation of blocks in about 10-20 minutes (depending on the traffic at the time).
-
Your homebrewer (AstroVials here) should email you confirming they have received the payment, and you will soon receive an email confirming your shipment.
